Of all the freaks and dolls, he likes only Michael. This is literally the only one he likes because of having sanity and calmness, as it seems to him, and Vage! After the story of a certain Lou, he was very interested in why he was treated this way, and even after the explanation, he did not understand the reason — Too harsh an ordeal? Without them, you can't survive at the other end... This was the impetus for his realization of who he was. Rifi is different from all of them, and now he understands much better why

I’ve loved this persons fanfics ever since I found out about the uglydolls fandom here on tumblr. I genuinely want to thank this writer for making my experience really interesting in this fandom.

So, the movie doesn't really say much regarding Lou's role other than his job was to stay behind and help guide the other dolls through. Because of that, I think if he did have a role, it would be a teacher.

In the fanon world I've made, Lou's expertise aligns more with business and running numbers and all that. Grayson Everett, being a business man himself, created Lou and designed him as a reflection of himself. But his sole purpose is to teach.

I like to think, too, that if Lou were to go through the Individualization scanner, it would say Teacher/Base Model. Since he's a prototype, he's still automatically a model, but Base Model clarifies that he is what all the other dolls are derived from.

Lou is...like the Adam of Dolls now that I think about it 😂
